Support for Brighton Metropolitan College

Chris volunteered as one of a network of Enterprise Advisers brought together by the Coast to Capital LEP working with the Careers Company.  He initially committed to the equivalent of a day a month to support the college in the development of a strategy for careers, education and employment.  He was also part of the network of Enterprise Advisers who share good practice across Brighton and West Sussex.  His role was to help the College focus their efforts on programmes and activities that are most effective in motivating young people, enabling individual choice and supporting positive outcomes for them. His work culminated in Work & Learning Opportunities producing a range of learning resources which focused on People Skills for them to pilot with staff and students in the 2017/18 academic year.

Walking for Health

Maureen, who is based in Dorset, supports her local accredited Walking for Health group by using her IT and authoring skills to update the national database and website, keep track of statistics and produce regular mail outs and newsletters to all members. The group supports approximately 200 walkers.
